Postal Service continues to restore operations in areas impacted by Hurricane Irma

Tampa, FLThe Postal Service has restored mail delivery and retail services to most Suncoast District customers affected by Hurricane Irma. Postal operations continue to recover as quickly as it is safe to do so. 

The following offices have resumed normal operations:

  • Bonita Springs Post Office, 26150 Old 41 Rd, Bonita Springs, FL 34135-6632
  • Goodland Post Office, 427 Papaya St, Goodland, FL 34140-9800
  • Pine Hills Post Office, 811 Deauville Dr, Orlando, FL 32808-9998 

The following offices have limited retail services. Customers can pick up PO Box Mail via Mobile Retail Unit.  Drop Shipments will be accepted from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.:

  • Chokoloskee Post Office, 195 Smallwood Dr, Chokoloskee, FL 34138-9800
  • Everglades City Post Office, 601 Collier Ave, Everglades City, FL 34139-9800
    Location of Mobile Retail Unit: 102 Copeland Ave N, Everglades City, FL 34139-9800
    Hours:  Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Customers can get information on delivery and retail services in their location by visiting www.usps.com and clicking the “Service Alert” bar at the top. The site is updated as recovery continues.

“Postal employees continue to make every effort to provide service as soon as possible to all of our customers wherever we can ensure the safety of our customers and employees,” said Suncoast District Manager Eric Chavez. “We sincerely appreciate our customers’ understanding and cooperation as we continue to recover from the storm.”
