Houston, TX – The Postal Service has restored mail delivery, retail services and mail collection to most Houston District’s Texas Gulf Coast area customers affected by Hurricane Harvey, even in the hardest hit areas.  Postal operations continue to recover as quickly as it is safe to do so.  Most Post Offices/Stations/Branches in the Greater Houston areas have resumed normal operations, with the exception of those listed below.

Customers can get information on delivery and retail services in their location by visiting www.usps.com  and clicking the “Service Alert” bar at the top.  The site is updated as recovery continues.

Some postal facilities still remain inaccessible. We continually assess our facilities to ensure they are safe to occupy. For those Post Offices still unable to be occupied, we are currently operating in alternate locations until repairs can be made.
