POSTAGE STATEMENTS

Ordering Instructions for Redesigned Postage Statements

The following postage statements - first announced in the article titled "Revised Forms: Redesigned Postage Statements" in Postal Bulletin 22150 (3-17-05, pages 11-42) - are available online and through the Material Distribution Center (MDC) (all have an edition date of April 2005):

• PS Form 3541, Postage Statement - Periodicals - One Issue or One Edition.

• PS Form 3600-EZ, Postage Statement - First-Class Mail - Easy - Nonautomation Letters, Cards, or Flats.

• PS Form 3600-R, Postage Statement - First-Class Mail & Priority Mail.

• PS Form 3602-EZ, Postage Statement - Standard Mail - Easy - Nonautomation Letters or Flats.

• PS Form 3602-N, Postage Statement - Nonprofit Standard Mail.

• PS Form 3602-NZ, Postage Statement - Nonprofit Standard Mail - Easy - Nonautomation Letters or Flats.

• PS Form 3602-R, Postage Statement - Standard Mail.

Although several of the redesigned forms have multiple pages, the new editions allow mailers to use only the pages needed for a particular mailing. Consequently, PS Forms 3541, 3600-R, 3602-N, and 3602-R are available from the MDC in one- page and two-page increments to allow mailers to order only the pages they need. (See the ordering information at the end of this article.)

Mailers may continue to use the previously existing editions of these forms unless they are participating in an experimental classification or are mailing items using detached address labels. Both the previously existing editions and the April 2005 editions are available online. The MDC has discarded all its stock of the previously existing editions and will fulfill all new orders with the April 2005 editions. The following postage statements are still effective and acceptable, but are available from the Material Distribution Center (MDC) only while current supplies last (see the ordering information at the end of this article):

• PS Form 3602-HP, Postage Statement - Standard Mail Heavy Letters - Postage Affixed.

• PS Form 3602-HR, Postage Statement - Standard Mail Heavy Letters - Permit Imprint.

• PS Form 3602-P, Postage Statement - Standard Mail Letters and Flats - Postage Affixed.

• PS Form 3602-PS, Postage Statement - Standard Mail Subject to Surcharge - Postage Affixed.

• PS Form 3602-RS, Postage Statement - Standard Mail Subject to Surcharge - Permit Imprint.

The following postage statements are still effective and acceptable but are no longer available from the MDC. Note that there are revised editions of these forms that have the same or similar PSINs and/or titles - see the article titled "Postage Statements: Ordering Instructions for Redesigned Postage Statements" starting on page 4 in this issue of the Postal Bulletin. However, the key differences between the forms noted below and the revised editions are the edition dates and PSNs.

PS Form 3600-PMX, Postage Statement - Priority Mail Flat-Rate Box Experiment - Permit Imprint, is still effective and acceptable, but is available only online (see the online information later in this article).

Even though all the postage statements noted in this article are still effective and acceptable, mailers can use in their place the redesigned postage statements noted in the previously mentioned article starting on page 4 in this issue of the Postal Bulletin. For example, mailers who have used forms having a PSIN that includes "3600" can use the appropriate revised postage statements having a PSIN that includes "3600"; mailers who have used forms having a PSIN that includes "3602" can use the appropriate revised postage statements having a PSIN that includes "3602."
