HANDBOOK PO-603 REVISION

Updated PS Form 4241-A, U.S. Postal Service Rural Route Evaluation

Effective immediately, Handbook PO-603, Rural Carrier Duties and Responsibilities, is revised to include an updated PS Form 4241-A, Rural Route Evaluation, that includes a new field on line number 4, Reload/Unload (Route Time). This line displays the standard time allowance provided to each rural route that was introduced with the extension of the 2000-2004 Agreement between the United States Postal Service and the National Rural Letter Carriers' Association. In addition, the text at the bottom of the form was changed to clarify that line items are included in office and route time, respectively.

The revised PS Form 4241-A will be incorporated into the next printed version of Handbook PO-603.
