PUBLICATION 28 REVISION

Addressing Standards for Canada

Effective October 13, 2005, Publication 28, Postal Addressing Standards, is revised to reflect a change in the addressing standards for mail destined for Canada. Canada Post has advised the Postal ServiceTM that there is now only one addressing standard for Canada (previously there had been two acceptable address formats).

We will incorporate these revisions into the next printed version of Publication 28 and also into the online version available on the Postal Service PolicyNet Web site:

• Go to http://blue.usps.gov.

• Under "Essential Links" in the left-hand column, click on References.

• Under "References" in the right-hand column, under "Policies," click on PolicyNet.

• Click on PUBs.
