Effective immediately, there will be a surcharge for live
animals accepted in Omaha, Nebraska, and there will not
be a $0.99 surcharge in Las Vegas, Nevada, as described
below.
The surcharge for live animals (including day-old poultry) transported by air from an airport listed below to a destination city in Zones 4-8 is $0.99 per pound (or fraction
thereof). This surcharge is in addition to the normal postage
that retail associates collect.
If your processing facility uses an airport listed below for
air transportation of live animals (including day-old poultry),
the `L' alpha code mail class designator must be assigned
on the distribution and routing tag.
