NOTICE
USPS Shipping Assistant Version 3.0 to Have a Sharp New Look
USPS Shipping Assistant®, the free and easy-to-use
desktop application at USPS.com®, has been redesigned
with a new look and many new features. USPS Shipping
Assistant Version 3.0 will be available October 30, 2006.
Version 3.0 will combine label printing and package
management into one convenient location, helping customers save time and money. Mailers will be able to create
domestic, international, and merchandise return shipping
labels and customs forms, and they will be able to verify
domestic addresses, schedule a Carrier Pickup™, and
even compare postage rates. Mailers will also be able to
review their shipping records and confirm the delivery status of their shipments.
The simplified version of Shipping Assistant will enable
customers to save time by having fields prepopulated with
frequently used data for their packages. Customers will be
able to work offline or online, and they will be able to print
labels immediately or save them in the Shipping Cart and
print them all at once. Mailers must affix postage on each
label.
USPS Shipping Assistant users can click on the "Shipping Assistant Message Center" tab to stay informed of
timely news that could affect their shipments.
