Waffle Technology Bill Cleaning Card Available

A new type of card, which cleans the bill validator belt as well as the optical eye, is available for use on mechanized vending equipment. The item description of the new card is Card, Cleaning, Currency Validator, Waffle Technology.

This card should be used every 6 months and supplements the regular card used in routine maintenance (scheduled according to the machine model and volume of revenue). The new card should also be used when a machine won't accept bills, to verify that the bill validator is defective before returning a bill validator to the Central Repair Facility in Topeka.

Bill validator cleaning, which is required under Part 433 of Handbook PO-102, Self Service Vending Operational and Marketing Program, must be done during full servicing of a self service vending machine.

All bill validator cleaning cards must be purchased through the Material Distribution Center (MDC) in Topeka. You may not purchase through eBuy using an outside vendor. To order through the MDC, use touch tone order entry (TTOE). Call 800-273-1509. You will need your access number to place an order.
