NOTICE

New Seal for Office of Inspector General

You will be seeing a new look for the Postal Service's Office of Inspector General (OIG). A new, single seal is now being used to represent and brand the dual OIG functions of audit and investigations. The release of the new image coincides with the OIG's expanded responsibilities to investigate all misconduct and internal crimes committed by Postal ServiceTM employees - including employee mail theft.

Replacing the side-by-side usage of the Special Agent badge and the original OIG "quill logo," the new seal features the Postal Service eagle in a blue and silver design. The shape of the seal reinforces the dual regulatory and enforcement authority of both auditors and investigators.

Coupled with the tagline: "Promoting Integrity and Accountability," the new seal and branding initiative captures the mission of the OIG.

New OIG Seal.
