NOTICE
New Offset AICs for Vending Overages or Shortages at IRT and e-MOVES Offices
Effective February 15, 2007, new account identifier
codes (AICs) have been created as offset accounts to overages and shortages in vending stock credits. These AICs
apply only to integrated retail terminal (IRT) and Electronic
Money Order Voucher System (e-MOVES) offices.
Overages and shortages in vending stock credits will no
longer offset to vending postage sales, instead they will
automatically offset to the new assigned AICs, which will
adjust vending stock credit accountability to the amount as
counted. The following are the assigned AICs:
• AIC 299, SIA, Vending, and APC Stock Shortage
Offset.
• AIC 699, SIA, Vending, and APC Stock Overage
Offset.
• AIC 843, Stock Adjustment Overage.
• AIC 849, Stock Adjustment Shortage.
Vending stock credit overage will continue to be in AIC
175, Vending Machine Overage, and will automatically offset to AIC 699 and AIC 843. This will adjust the vending
stock credit accountability to the amount as counted.
Vending stock credit shortage will continue to be
reported in AIC 612, Vending Machine Shortage, and will
automatically offset AIC 299 and AIC 849. This will adjust
the vending stock credit accountability to the amount as
counted.
