FAST for Periodicals: New Mailer Requirement

By late spring 2007, Postal ServiceTM facilities will require advance notification of periodicals mailings through the Facility Access and Shipment Tracking (FAST) system. Under this new requirement, business mailers will schedule periodicals drop shipment appointments at Postal Service facilities. Scheduling will allow advance notice of mailer volume expected at Postal Service facilities. Currently, periodicals mailers are not required to make an appointment.
