Dear Editor,
The U.S. Postal Service® has one of the more popular Internet sites in the world, accessed by customers more than one
million times a day. Just about anything you can do at a Post OfficeTM, you can do at our award-winning Web site, www.usps.com.
Nevertheless, more than 7.5 million people still visit our Post Offices each day. Much as I appreciate the business, I know that
many of our customers could save precious time and money if they "skip the trip" and log on to USPS.com.
[Next week/in two weeks], we will host USPS.com Week, featuring [insert short list of activities, handouts, treats, etc.] I want to make sure the people of [insert name of community] know that by using our Quick, Easy, ConvenientTM online
services, they can buy postage, order supplies, ship and track packages, and manage their mail without ever leaving their
homes or offices.
I hope you will publicize USPS.com Week and stop by for some fun [insert date(s) of your event].
Sincerely,
[Insert Name]

SERVICE TALK
USPS.com Week — March 12-16, 2007
The Postal Service is promoting our award-winning Web
site - USPS.com - during the week of March 12-16,
2007. Post Offices, stations, and branches around the
country are sponsoring events for small businesses during
this week. The theme is "Go to USPS.com and Skip the
Trip."
Our Web site is the ideal example of Quick, Easy,
Convenient. Customers can create shipping labels and pay
for postage, find a ZIP Code, calculate postage, locate a
Post Office, schedule a pickup, ship and track packages,
hold mail, change their address, buy stamps, order shipping supplies, and much, much more - all from their own
computers.
When you deliver mail to your small business customers, tell them how easy it is to skip the trip to the Post Office
by visiting www.usps.com. We want our customers to know
that just about everything they can do here at the Post
Office, they can do online at USPS.com, and save time and
money in the process.
Include the following paragraph if your Post Office is
hosting an event:
Here in [insert name of community], we will be hosting
our own USPS.com Week event. Activities will include [summarize plans for the week]. When you deliver mail to
your small business customers, invite them to our
USPS.com Week event(s).
We appreciate all you do to deliver the mail and to make
the Postal Service the carrier of choice.
Thank you. |
