Incorrectly Addressed APO/FPO Mail

All acceptance personnel are reminded that mail addressed to an APO or FPO address should not list the country name.

APO/FPO mail is destined to the military post office. However, an address that includes a country name is sent to the international post office, which is not the correct destination.

Below are examples of correct and incorrect addressing:

When accepting incorrectly addressed mail from a mailer, the retail associate should have the mailer obliterate the country name. If the mailer is not available, the retail associate should obliterate the country name.
