New Management Instruction: Air Quality Management

Management Instruction (MI) EL-890-2007-1, Air Quality Management, is now available and is effective immediately. The MI has been aligned with policy and procedures to enable Postal Service™ compliance with regulatory requirements. This new MI documents organizational changes, lists additional training courses, and provides updated references to relevant organizations.

MI EL-890-2007-1 renders the following MIs obsolete:

• MI AS-550-95-18, Clean Air Act Compliance, December 1, 1995.
• MI AS-550-1999-4, Alternative Fuel Vehicle Program, March 5, 1999.

MI EL-890-2007-1 is available on the Postal Service PolicyNet Web site:

• Go to http://blue.usps.gov.
• Under “Essential Links” in the left-hand column, click on References.
• Under “References” in the right-hand column, under “Policies,” click on PolicyNet.
• Click on MIs.
