USPSNEWS@WORK > PMG discusses change during NationalPCC Day event
Postmaster General (PMG) Jack Potter championed innovative services developed by USPS and the new postal law during a national broadcast.
“You told us that there are things we can do better. We heard you. The suggestions you have made drive our success,” he said during his National Postal Customer Council (PCC) Day address Sept. 19. The event was transmitted to some 14,000 PCC members gathered at 150 locations across the United States.
Potter spoke about the Intelligent Mail barcode and Flats Sequencing System as examples of how the Postal Service is leveraging technology to provide greater value and ease to business mailers.
The new postal law is what “drives us to move ahead to change. One of the biggest changes is keeping rates at or below inflation. We must manage rates by class and we’ve never done that before,” Potter said.
