New First Day of Issue for Alzheimer’s Awareness Stamp

42-cent Alzheimer's stamp.The first day of issue (FDOI) for the Alzheimer’s Awareness commemorative stamp has been changed from September 19 to October 17. The FDOI ceremony will take place in Morgan­town, West Virginia, in connection with the grand opening of the Blanchette Rockefeller Neurosciences Institute. A future Postal Bulletin issue will include a Postmaster’s Promotion and Publicity Kit with detailed information about the stamp, the causes of Alzheimer’s disease, and the impact it has on individuals, caregivers, and society.
