Business Connect “4 Seasons of Success” Contest Kit: Quarter 4, Summer FY 2008

The Quarter 4 Business Connect™ Contest for the summer season in FY 2008 runs from July 1, 2008, to September 30, 2008. The Quarter 4 contest is focused on conducting five Business Connect activities discussing shipping services to promote domestic and international packages. Please use the current Business Connect post­master materials to assist you with the Business Connect Quarter 4 contest.

A kit will be sent to postmasters the week of July 23 that will contain materials to assist in conducting customer activities discussing shipping services including our no fuel surcharge.

The Business Connect Summer Postmaster Kit includes the following materials and will be available to download after July 23:

• Letter to Postmasters and Station and Branch Managers describes the promotional materials.
• Business Connect Contest Guide describes the Quarter 4 contest and provides tips on identifying new opportunities with customers and presenting shipping solutions to fit customers’ needs.
• Shipping and Mailing Guide, a multi-panel brochure highlighting key products and services of the U.S. Postal Service^®, is a reference tool when meeting with customers and a “leave behind” for customers after meetings.
• Tear pads give each carrier 10–15 sheets to share with prospective shipping customers.
• Service Talk (for internal use only) informs your carri­ers on shipping services and the upcoming advertis­ing campaign.
