Business Connect “Monumental Opportunity” Contest Kit: Quarter 1, FY 2009

The Quarter 1 Business Connect™ Contest for FY 2009 runs from October 1, 2008, to December 31, 2008. The Quarter 1 contest is focused on conducting five Business Connect activities discussing shipping services to promote domestic and international packages. Please use the current Business Connect postmaster materials to assist you with the Business Connect Quarter 1 contest. A kit will be sent to postmasters the week of September 29 that will contain materials to assist in conducting customer activities discussing shipping services.

The Business Connect Postmaster Kit includes the following materials and will be available to download after October 1:

Letter to Postmasters and Station and Branch Managers. This letter describes the promotional materials (see page 31).
Business Connect Contest Guide. This guide describes the Quarter 1 contest and provides tips on identifying new opportunities with customers and presenting shipping solutions to fit customers’ needs (see page 32, 33–35).
Service Talk (for internal use only). Within 5 days of receiving this package, encourage your carriers’ involvement (see page 36).
Expedited Shipping Guide. This multi-panel brochure contains a fulfillment card to receive a Free Shipping Kit. Use this when meeting with customers to help them fill out the card (see page 37–38).
Expedited Shipping Tear Pads. Give each carrier 10 to 15 sheets to share with prospective shipping customers (see page 39).
