New Management Instruction EL-810-2008-4, Hazard Communication (HazCom) Program

Effective immediately, Management Instruction (MI) EL–810-2008-4, Hazard Communication (HazCom) Program, makes obsolete MI EL-810-96-2, Hazard Communication Programs. This new MI:

n Reflects organizational changes.

n Identifies additional program resources.

n Clarifies program implementation steps designed to achieve compliance with regulatory requirements.

n Updates Postal Service™ policy statements on envi­ronmentally preferable products.

MI EL-810-2008-4 is available on the Postal Service PolicyNet website:

n Go to http://blue.usps.gov.

n Under “Essential Links” in the left-hand column, click PolicyNet.

n Then click MIs.
