New management instruction (MI) AS-300-2009-2, Advertising Policy and Guidelines, is effective immediately. This MI:
n Supersedes “Field Advertising Guidelines and Policy,” Postal Bulletin 22156 (6-9-05, page 79).
n Defines “authorized advertising materials.”
n Sets forth Postal Service™ policy for postmasters and managers who wish to advertise or provide information to Postal Service customers via postcards, letters, flyers, signs, and mass media elements.
n Provides information about messaging and other advertising materials available, including MessageMaker4.
