New Management Instruction EL-810-2009-4, Personal Protective Equipment and Respiratory Protection Programs

Management Instruction (MI) El-810-2009-4, Personal Protective Equipment and Respiratory Protection Pro­grams, is now available. This MI is effective as of June 1, 2009, and it obsoletes MI EL-810-2001-1, Personal Protec­tive Equipment and Respiratory Protection Programs.

The revised MI contains the following:

n Up-to-date references to organizations and webpages.

n Updated policies on nitrile gloves and filtering face­piece respirators, including measures instituted fol­lowing the anthrax emergency of 2001.
