IMM Revision: Insurance for International Shipments

Effective March 14, 2010, the Postal Service™ is revising Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, Inter­national Mail Manual (IMM®) subchapter 320 to include information regarding insurance for Global Express Guaran­teed® service and Express Mail International® service.

Previously, subchapter 320 codified insurance only for Priority Mail International® service, but with this revision, subchapter 320 will include insurance information for all our international mail classifications, organized into three parts as follows:

n IMM 321 — Global Express Guaranteed Insurance.

n IMM 322 — Express Mail International Insurance.

n IMM 323 — Priority Mail International Insurance.

We will incorporate this revision into the next printed version of the IMM and into the monthly update of the online IMM, which is available via Postal Explorer® at http://pe.usps.com.
