An address list of postage due units has been produced to help with the creation of Merchandise Return Service labels. The list is located on the Intelligent Mail and Address Quality (IMAQ) website at http://imaq/AMS/addman/reports/aqreports/specialreports/Postage%20Due%20Locales.xls.
The information on the IMAQ website contains an instruction page on how to use the list, the postage due locales, and a sample Merchandise Return Service (MRS) label (see below).
The postage due address list provides the following benefits:
1. Eliminates the manual validation of addresses, as addresses have been extracted from the Address Management System (AMS).
2. Significantly reduces the amount of time currently used to locate the required information fro MRS labels when setting up a new account.
3. Eliminates time consuming effort of manually contacting Post Office™ facilities to obtain postage due unit addresses and finance numbers.
4. Provides direction for all necessary information required for MRS labels when setting up MRS accounts.
5. Provides a central location, and is easily accessible to postal employees.
