Effective May 3, 2010, the Postal Service™ will revise Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) section 215.2 to specify that Global Express Guaranteed® (GXG®) shipments eligible for deposit in a collection box must be deposited in only a Postal Service Express Mail® collection box served by a participating Global Express Guaranteed Post Office™ facility.
Previously, Global Express Guaranteed shipments eligible for deposit under 215.2 could be deposited in any type of Postal Service collection box served by a participating Global Express Guaranteed Post Office™ facility.
We are making this revision to be consistent with the information in Publication 141, Global Express Guaranteed® Service Guide.
