Effective February 13, 2010, the Headquarters Surface Transportation Category Management Center (ST-CMC) relocated from L'Enfant Plaza to Largo, Maryland. This office will be co-located with the Eastern Transportation Category Management Team (TCMT) and supports the restacking effort at Headquarters.
This business decision will allow for greater synergies between the ST-CMC and the newly established Eastern TCMT. This consolidation provides an opportunity for the development of a Surface Transportation Center of Excellence to focus on a wide variety of transportation and ancillary services. Additionally, this consolidation will enhance the group’s ability to systemically align with business partners, suppliers, and customers to provide high quality services, deliver additional contract cost reductions, and manage cost growth in future years.
