Revised Handbook AS-805-A, Information Resource Certification and Accreditation Process

Effective immediately, Handbook AS-805-A, Informa­tion Resource Certification and Accreditation Process, is revised. The October 2009 edition has been updated to reflect the following:

n Process changes were associated with the Technical Solutions Lifecycle (TSLC).

n The designation for the information security assur­ance (ISA) process was changed to certification and accreditation (C&A) process.

n The three classification designations of sensitive, business-controlled sensitive, and nonsensitive were changed to sensitive-enhanced, sensitive, and non­sensitive.

n The designation of applications was changed to information resources.

n The concept of legacy applications was eliminated.

n All graphics and tables were changed to reflect the seven phases.

Handbook AS-805-A is now available on the Postal Ser­vice™ PolicyNet website:

n Go to http://blue.usps.gov.

n Under “Essential Links” in the left-hand column, click PolicyNet.

n On the PolicyNet page, click HBKs. (The direct URL for the Postal Service PolicyNet website is http://blue.usps.gov/cpim.)
