The Business Connect® Quarterly Contest for Quarter 4, Fiscal Year (FY) 2011, runs from July 1, 2011, to September 30, 2011, and is focused on Every Door Direct Mail™ (EDDM) and “A Simpler Way™ to Ship Your Online Items”. The objective is to conduct a minimum of five Business Connect activities, to include three customer meetings or events about EDDM and two customer meetings or events educating online shippers or new customers (if you don’t have online shippers in your community) on USPS® shipping products.
The Business Connect postmaster kit includes the following materials:
n Letter to Postmasters and Station and Branch Managers (see Exhibit A, page 2). This letter describes the promotional materials and how to use them.
n Contest Guide (see Exhibit B, pages 3–4). Refer to this guide for contest guidelines, presentation tips, and key messages.
n Inventory Reference Sheet (see Exhibit C, pages 5–6). Order these materials to support your A Simpler Way to Ship Your Online Items and Every Door Direct Mail group events.
n “Sell on eBay. Ship with the U.S. Postal Service.” DVD (inventory item available 7/1/11) (see Exhibit D, page 7). Play during customer meetings to explain the program.
n USPS Shipping Informational Folder (“Sell on eBay. Ship with the Postal Service.” DVD) (see Exhibit E, pages 8–9). Provide to the attendees when you host a group event for “A Simpler Way to Ship Your Online Items.”
n Carrier Tear Pads (see Exhibit F, pages 10–11). Distribute to your letter/rural carriers so they can share them with businesses.
n Use material from your Quarter 3 EDDM kit to continue to promote EDDM to local businesses.

You may also order past materials (such as tear pads) from inventory to support your efforts.
Kits should be received in offices by the last week in June.
Starting July 1, 2011, this kit will be available for downloading from the Business Connect Resource Center at http://blue.usps.gov/marketing/businessconnect/welcome.htm.
