During summer months, USPS® employees may work in environments where they’re exposed to excessive heat. This exposure can lead to serious heat-related illnesses that occur when the body is no longer able to cool itself through sweating.
By knowing the signs and symptoms associated with these illnesses and practicing preventative measures, you can reduce the risk of heat-related health problems.
