[Revise 722.42 to read as follows:]
Local buys may not be made from (1) Postal Service employees, (2) the spouse of a Postal Service employee, (3) another family member of a Postal Service employee, (4) an individual residing in the same household as a Postal Service employee, or (5) a business organization substantially owned or controlled by any of the above. A Postal Service employee is any Postal Service officer or employee working on a full-time or part-time basis in a career or noncareer position, including specifically persons in temporary positions such as Postmaster replacements, rural carrier reliefs, and postal support employees. See Handbook AS-709, 313.1, Ethics and Business Practices, for more information.
