Effective July 28, 2013, the Postal Service™ will revise Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) sections 232.122 and 252.22 to show the countries for which Electronic USPS® Delivery Confirmation™ International service is available. Previously, this service was available only to Canada.
The article titled “IMM Revision: Additional Countries Added for Electronic USPS Delivery Confirmation International Service” in Postal Bulletin 22365 (6-13-13, pages 6–7) announced that the Postal Service would revise the IMM to add an additional 15 countries for this service. However, since that notice, two countries — Ireland and Sweden — informed the Postal Service that they have elected not to participate at this time.
Consequently, the revised IMM will include all the authorized countries for this service — a total of 14, including Canada, but not Ireland and Sweden.
