Effective September 3, 2013, the Postal Service™ will revise the Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, Domestic Mail Manual (DMM®) 602 and 707 to consolidate ZIP Code™ accuracy standards for non-barcoded, presorted Periodicals pieces into existing DMM 602.6.0, which details the ZIP Code accuracy standards for other classes of mail. The standards and methods to incorporate ZIP Code accuracy for mailpieces is the same for all classes of mail; a previous consolidation neglected to include Periodicals.
