Effective December 12, 2013, Handbook AS-805-H, Cloud Security, is available. This handbook establishes the information security policies and requirements to protect information resources in a cloud computing environment.
A cloud computing environment must do the following:
n Protect information resources critical to the Postal Service™.
n Protect information as mandated by federal laws, regulations, directives, law enforcement and judicial processes, and industry requirements.
n Protect the personal information and privacy of employees and customers.
n Reinforce the reputation of the Postal Service as an institution deserving of public trust.
n Meet or exceed Postal Service due diligence standards for the protection of information resources.
n Assign responsibilities to relevant Postal Service officers, executives, managers, employees, contractors, partners, and vendors.
