Effective August 6, 2015, the Postal Service™ is revising Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) to reflect current information for Priority Mail International® insurance to Bahamas, noting that the insurance limit for parcels addressed to Nassau or Freeport is $1,458, but that the limit for parcels addressed to locations other than Nassau or Freeport is $560.
This revision is not a change to the insurance service but merely a clarification. In the article titled “IMM Revision: Changes to Pricing and Mailing Standards for International Shipping Services” in Postal Bulletin 22408 (2-5-15, pages 7–12), we revised the Individual Country Listings (ICLs) by replacing the individual insurance fee tables for Priority Mail International service with a generic table directing readers to Exhibit 322.2 for individual country merchandise insurance limits. Although the previous Priority Mail International insurance fee table in the ICL for Bahamas included a Note indicating that the insurance limit for parcels to locations other than Nassau or Freeport is $560, we neglected to include that information in the new Exhibit 322.2.
Consequently, we are revising Exhibit 322.2 to clearly indicate this information.
