International Mail: Resumption of Mail Service to Guatemala

Effective March 3, 2017, the Postal Service™ is restoring mail service to Guatemala. This restoration rescinds the temporary suspension that was announced in the article titled “International Mail: Temporary Suspension of Mail Service to Guatemala” in Postal Bulletin 22456 (12-8-16, page 8).

Postal Service employees may resume acceptance of all classes of mail to Guatemala on March 3, 2017.

For any item that was returned due to the suspension of service and did not bear a customs declaration form, the sender may remail the item with the existing postage now that service to Guatemala has been restored. When remailing under this option, the sender must cross out the marking “Mail Service Suspended — Return to Sender.”
