Effective February 3, 2017, the Postal Service™ suspended Global Express Guaranteed® (GXG®) service for items sent to Ghana. Until further notice, Post Office™ facilities must not accept GXG items destined to Ghana.
The Postal Service will deliver already deposited GXG items addressed to Ghana but cannot accept any new GXG shipments. The Postal Service will continue to accept international letter mail and other package services destined to Ghana.
The Postal Service will revise the next update of Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) to reflect this suspension.
