Effective January 21, 2018, the Postal Service™ will revise Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, Domestic Mail Manual (DMM®) in various chapters as we continue our DMM simplification initiative, without changes to standards, to make it quicker, easier, and more convenient to use.
The Postal Service will relocate two sections from part 503, Extra and Additional Services, to part 507, Mailer Services, and part 509, Other Services. Specifically, section 503.11.0, Intelligent Mail Barcode Tracing, will be renumbered as section 507.10.0, and section 503.12.0, Money Orders, will be renumbered as section 509.3.0. Relocation of these services will align each service with the correct part; part 503 will only contain Extra Services.
