Effective January 2018, the Postal Service™ issued a new form, PS Form 5956-MFP, Management Foundations Program Probationary Period Report.
Previously, the Postal Service required individuals selected for the Management Foundations Program (MFP) to complete a 12-month probationary period. Their managers would then evaluate them using PS Form 5956-EAS, EAS Non-Supervisory Employee Probationary Period Report. The issuance of the new form does not affect the 12-month probationary period for MFP candidates, but managers must now use new PS Form 5956-MFP to evaluate each candidate.
