Effective January 27, 2019, the Postal Service™ will revise prices, product features, and standards for the international mailing services noted below, in accordance with the Postal Regulatory Commission’s Order No. 4875, issued on November 13, 2018, in Docket No. R2019-1.
We will not increase prices for single-piece First-Class Mail International® letters, postcards, and flats. The price of a single-piece, 1-ounce letter will continue to be $1.15. The upper weight limit for First-Class Mail International large envelopes (flats) will remain 4 pounds. The First-Class Mail International letter nonmachinable surcharge will remain $0.21.
On January 27, 2019, the Postal Service will increase prices for certain market-dominant international extra services as noted below:
n Certificate of mailing service: Prices for certificate of mailing service will be as follows:
n International Registered Mail® service: The fee for international Registered Mail service is increasing to $16.00.
n International return receipt service: The fee for international return receipt service is increasing to $4.10.
n Customs clearance and delivery fee: The customs clearance and delivery fee per dutiable item is increasing to $6.40.
n International Business Reply™ service (IBRS): The price for IBRS cards is increasing to $1.45, and the price for IBRS envelopes up to 2 ounces is increasing to $1.95.
The Postal Service publishes its prices in Notice 123, Price List, which is available via Postal Explorer® at pe.usps.com. Until the effective date of January 27, 2019, the new prices are available online at pe.usps.gov/PriceChange/Index.
