Management Instructions

Management Instruction EL-670-2019-1: Best Practices for Supporting Gender Transition in the Workplace

Effective January 31, 2019, the Postal Service™ published Management Instruction (MI) EL-670-2019-1, Best Practices for Supporting Gender Transition in the Workplace, which establishes Postal Service policies and processes for supporting gender transition in the workplace.

The processes described in MI EL-670-2019-1 are in accordance with regulations and guidance from the Office of Personnel Management, the Department of Labor, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

MI EL-670-2019-1 is available on the Postal Service PolicyNet website:

n Go to blue.usps.gov.

n In the left-hand column under “Essential Links,” click PolicyNet.

n Go to the right-hand side under “Published Forms and Directives.”

n Click Management Instructions.
