National Park and Recreation Month

July is National Park and Recreation Month, which makes this month the ideal time to set a wellness goal for fitness. Take time out from busy schedules and plan a trip to the local park with your family. Blend family time with getting fit, all while enjoying the great outdoors.

If you are looking for places to visit, the National Park Service offers a bundle, known as the “America the Beautiful — National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass Series,” that gives you access to over 2,000 federal recreation sites. Each pass covers entrance fees at national parks and national wildlife refuges, as well as standard amenity fees at national forests and grasslands, and at lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management and Bureau of Reclamation.

With access to so many different sites, it will be easy and fun to get in your steps. For National Park Service pass series information, visit nps.gov/meve/planyourvisit/passprogram.htm.

Don’t wait — enjoy a park with your family today!
