Effective December 2019, the Postal Service™ revised Handbook AS-805-D, Information Security Network Change Review Process, to update procedures for requesting changes to the Postal Service network infrastructure and for establishing the framework for the Postal Service Network Change Review Board (NCRB). The NCRB oversees the implementation of Postal Service policies and procedures related to the addition of, or modification to, specified Postal and non-Postal Service systems or networks to the Postal Service network infrastructure.
In summary, the revisions to Handbook AS-805-D are as follows:
n Chapter 1, “Introduction: Information Security Network Change Review Process” was revised to provide the updated purpose of the NCRB process.
n Chapter 2, “Roles and Responsibilities” was revised to update role titles as well as updating and removing responsibilities.
n Chapter 3, “Network Change Review Process” was revised to reflect new section title name, and move applicable responsibilities for improved alignment.
n Chapter 4, “Network Change Process” was revised to update the applicable image.
n Chapter 5, “Change Request Documentation Requirements” was revised to correct minor verbiage and remove non-applicable responsibilities.
n Chapter 6, “Contact Information” was revised to update the email address.
