CyberSafe Business System Owners Training FY 2020: Due September 30

The Corporate Information Security Office (CISO) recently launched an updated system owner course required for all business system owners. All training must be completed by September 30.

Threats to digital information are growing in frequency and sophistication worldwide. Protecting USPS® resources, employee, customer, and supplier data from these threats is a priority for the Postal Service™.

By completing your assigned System Owner Essentials CyberSafe training course this year, you will learn how to protect critical USPS resources from cyber threats.

This course will provide a Technology Solution Life Cycle process overview — from the Business Needs Statement to system decommission. Business system owners will gain the ability to understand and use this process correctly, detect security problems early, and prevent most cyberattacks from happening. The course also reviews the process steps and identifies the security risks associated with them.

Business system owners can access this course now through HERO at usps.csod.com. Business system owners who do not meet the September 30 deadline are subject to limited ACE system access until the required course is completed.
