Effective August 2020, the Postal Service™ revised Handbook EL-307, Reasonable Accommodation, an Interactive Process, to ensure compliance with changes to Section 501 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. These revisions include reasonable accommodation procedures and accessibility to facilities and technology, as well as ensuring alignment of self-disclosure disability codes and descriptions with those of the Office of Personnel Management.
Additionally, these revisions include document templates that may be used by Reasonable Accommodation Committees.
The revised version of Handbook EL-307 is now available on the Postal Service PolicyNet website:
