Effective December 17, 2020, the Postal Service™ is revising the Administrative Support Manual (ASM), section 286.1, to update the emergency lines of succession in the event the Postmaster General is incapacitated from an enemy attack or other national emergency.

286.1 Postmaster General
[Revise the text of 286.1 to read as follows:]
In case the Postmaster General is incapacitated from an enemy attack or other national emergency, the following
are the lines of succession to perform the duties of the Postmaster General (see section 112.11):
a. Chief retail and delivery officer and executive vice president.
b. Chief logistics and processing operations officer and executive vice president.
c. Vice president, area retail and delivery operations, western pacific.
