Effective April 5, 2021, the Postal Service™ will revise Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, Domestic Mail Manual (DMM®), section 604.9.2.4, to include oversize postal items in the standard.
As announced in Postal Bulletin 22561 (12-17-20, pages 5–6), the Postal Service revised section 601.1.2 in the January 24, 2021, DMM edition to include oversize postal items in the standards. However, the Postal Service inadvertently omitted that it would also revise section 604.9.2.4 regarding oversize items.
Although the Postal Service will not publish this revision in the DMM until April 5, 2021, the standard is effective immediately.
