Effective July 15, 2021, the Postal Service™ is revising the Individual Country Listing for Hong Kong in Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) to note the delivery process for insured items.
This revision is based on a formal request that Hong- kong Post (the designated operator of Hong Kong) made through the Universal Postal Union via International Bureau Circular 93, dated June 14, 2021.

2. Insured items do not receive home delivery service. Instead, Hongkong Post delivers a collection notifi- cation card directing the addressee to collect the item from a specified post office.

Although effective July 15, 2021, the Postal Service will incorporate this revision into the next edition of the online IMM, which is available via Postal Explorer® at pe.usps.com.
