Effective August 29, 2021, the Postal Service™ will revise Notice 123, Price List, to reflect changes to prices and fees for the international mailing services noted in this article. The following information is based on Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) Order No. 5937 issued on July 19, 2021, in Docket No. R2021-2. In that order, the PRC found that the price adjustments included in the Postal Service’s notice may go into effect on August 29, 2021. The Postal Service will revise Notice 123, Price List, to reflect the new prices and fees. The order is available on the PRC website at prc.gov.
On August 29, 2021, the Postal Service will increase prices for the following market dominant international services:
n First-Class Mail International® (FCMI): The price for a single-piece postcard will be $1.30 worldwide. The price for the FCMI letter nonmachinable surcharge will increase to $0.30. The FCMI single-piece letter and flat prices will be as follows
n International Extra Services and Fees: The Postal Service will increase prices for certain market-dominant international extra services as noted:
n Certificate of Mailing service: Fees for certificate of mailing service will increase as follows:
n Registered Mail® service: The price for international Registered Mail service will increase to $17.15.
n Return Receipt service: The price for international return receipt service will increase to $4.75.
n Customs Clearance and Delivery Fee: The Customs Clearance and Delivery Fee will increase to $7.05.
n International Business Reply™ service (IBRS): The price for IBRS cards will increase to $1.75, and the price for IBRS envelopes (up to 2 ounces) will increase to $2.25.
The Postal Service will incorporate these revisions into the August 29, 2021, edition of Notice 123, Price List, which is available via Postal Explorer® at pe.usps.com.
