Effective October 2021, the Postal Service™ published Management Instruction (MI) EL-670-2021-4, Providing Communication Accommodations to Employees and Applicants Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, to include updates on the provision of sign language interpreters and management structure and processes. These updates ensure alignment with policies in the revised Handbook EL-307, Reasonable Accommodation, An Interactive Process. The guidance in MI EL-670-2021-4 supersedes the previous management instruction, MI EL-670-2013-6.
