IMM Revision: International Postal Money Orders

Effective March 10, 2022, the Postal Service™ is revising Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®), Exhibit 371.2, to reflect current availability, as follows:

n Regarding footnote 2, the U.S. Postal Service® and the associated posts for those countries stopped selling international postal money orders effective October 1, 2021.

n Regarding footnote 4, the U.S. Postal Service and the associated posts for Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago no longer issue money orders, so this footnote is no longer relevant.

n Regarding footnote 5, the U.S. Postal Service and the post for Trinidad and Tobago stopped selling international postal money orders effective January 1, 2022.

(2) Effective October 1, 2021, the foreign post stopped selling international postal money orders destined for the United States. Likewise, effective October 1, 2021, the Postal Service stopped selling international postal money orders destined to the foreign post. Effective October 1, 2022, the foreign post will stop cashing international postal money orders issued by the Postal Service. Likewise, effective October 1, 2022, the Postal Service will stop cashing international postal money orders issued by the post.

(4) Effective January 1, 2022, Trinidad and Tobago stopped selling international postal money orders destined for the United States. Likewise, effective January 1, 2022, the Postal Service stopped selling international postal money orders destined to Trinidad and Tobago. Effective January 1, 2023, Trinidad and Tobago will stop cashing international postal money orders issued by the Postal Service. Likewise, effective January 1, 2023, the Postal Service will stop cashing international postal money orders issued by Trinidad and Tobago.
