Share Large Files Easily with External Partners

Do you need to share files larger than 35 megabytes (MB) with external partners, but the files are too large to send via email? If so, External Large File Sharing (ELFS) is the perfect solution for you.

ELFS provides users with a way to securely share large files — such as presentations, photos, documents, and videos — with external partners in a collaborative environment. The platform is not a file storage solution; however, it is a useful resource for storing large files for less than 90 days.

ELFS is easy to use, features real-time editing capabilities, and offers unlimited file and workspace sizes. The platform is also a secure method for sharing data outside USPS®.

To request access to ELFS:

n Request approval via ARIS at aris.usps.gov/identityiq/login.jsf. Find detailed instructions at blue.usps.gov/cyber/assets/pdf/Requesting%20for%20ELFS%20Instructions.pdf.

n After you receive your welcome email, click the Login button at the top of the page to enter ELFS.

n Locate the user link that begins with the first letter of your USPS email address.

n Proceed to your designated document library listed in the left margin.

If you need training to use ELFS:

n USPS employees. Visit usps.csod.com/LMS/catalog/Welcome.aspx?tab_page_id=-67&tab_id=-1 and type “SharePoint Online” in the Search window. We recommend using SharePoint Online Modern Experience Practical Guide: Learn Step-by-Step How to Use SharePoint Online Modern Experience.

n USPS contractors. Visit Microsoft’s SharePoint Video Training website at support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/sharepoint-video-training-cb8ef501-84db-4427-ac77-ec2009fb8e23. OneDrive and SharePoint Online training is also available at the O365 Champions Resources website at usps365.sharepoint.com/sites/USPS-0365-Champions.
